Meet Michael

Why Am I Running
More About me
I care about the future of Minneapolis and its people and am concerned about the leadership of the current City Council. Minneapolis has been and will continue to be a great place to live as long as the right decisions are made by our City leadership. It is for this reason that I decided to run for Council during this critical time for our City.
I was born and raised in the Detroit metro area of Michigan and grew up as an active kid that enjoyed school and sports. I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech University and started my career in Automotive Design. I was active politically in Michigan, taking on a role with Voters Not Politicians to end the political gerrymandering in the state by Ballot Initiative in 2018. In 2019, my work brought me to Minneapolis where I started as an engineer with Polaris designing off-road vehicles. Immediately, I fell in love with the city of Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota. I have always felt the deep sense of community and civic pride held by Minneapolis residents and want to contribute to the future prosperity of the city. I am a lifelong Democrat and feel so privileged to make Minnesota home. I am ready and able to advocate for Ward 2 on the City Council.
“Throughout our time working together, Michael consistently showcased his remarkable technical prowess, unwavering attention to detail, and impressive ability to meet deadlines effectively. His contributions to our team were truly outstanding, particularly in his adeptness at critical thinking and his remarkable problem-solving skills.”
